Developing the role of the subject mentor in enhancing trainees’ pedagogic subject knowledge (Science focus)

This website is the result of a TDA funded Partnership Development Schools (phase 3)  project that looked at the development of the role of the science subject mentor to better support the trainees pedagogical subject knowledge. The site reports on the project and the processes that we undertook to develop the materials. It also presents materials that will be of use to science teachers who work with trainees.

Supporting Science Mentors

In this section of the website the mentor is introduced to guidance and documents that the project developed to support the mentor in devleoping subject specific training. The two sections, observing lessons and weekly mentor meetings provide tasks to explore practice in this area.
